A drone strike in central Sudan has killed at least 24 displaced people, including eight children and two infants. According to the Sudan Doctors Network, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched the drone at a vehicle near the town of Er Rahad.

In a separate incident, another RSF drone hit a UN World Food Programme convoy in North Kordofan. The strike killed one person and destroyed the cargo of vital food supplies. Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry condemned the RSF for these strikes and for an attack on a local hospital, demanding an immediate end to the violence.

These attacks come as a new report confirms that famine has spread to two more areas of Darfur. Experts warn that unless the situation changes, child malnutrition across the country will become even more severe by 2026.
