A Queensland man faces 596 charges related to child abuse. Police allege the 27-year-old from Maryborough used fake online profiles to target and groom children, most of whom were between seven and 15 years old.

Investigators say they found 23,000 photos and videos in his possession. So far, the investigation has identified 259 victims. According to police, the man sought out children on social media and gaming sites between 2018 and 2025.
