Milan prosecutors are investigating an 80-year-old former truck driver from Italy. He is suspected of being a "sniper tourist" who allegedly paid Bosnian Serb soldiers for the chance to shoot at people during the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s. The investigation was launched in November following a complaint from a Milan-based writer and a formal report from the former mayor of Sarajevo. These "sniper tourists" reportedly paid soldiers to take them into the hills surrounding the city, where they would shoot at civilians for sport.
