Irish politicians have condemned the use of Shannon Airport as a stopover for U.S. deportation flights transporting Palestinians to Israel. An investigation by The Guardian found that a private jet, owned by Trump donor Gil Dezer, was chartered by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for two of these trips. Both flights landed at the Irish airport to refuel. Some of the people on board said they were kept in shackles throughout the journey. After landing in Tel Aviv, the detainees were taken to the West Bank.
