Iran arrests reformist leader Azar Mansouri and others on charges of terrorism and foreign conspiracy

Iranian authorities have arrested several top members of the Reformists Front, the political coalition that backed President Masoud Pezeshkian during his recent election campaign. Among those taken into custody is the group's leader, Azar Mansouri, along with several other prominent figures. The arrests followed their public criticism of how the government handled recent protests.
According to state prosecutors, those arrested are accused of supporting terrorists, conspiring with the United States and Israel, and damaging national unity.
In a separate legal development, Narges Mohammadi, the imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize winner, has been handed an additional seven-year prison sentence.
The report also highlights that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently lobbying to have Iran's ballistic missile program included in the ongoing diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran.
