Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine has remained in hiding for nearly three weeks following a contested election. He fled his residence on January 16 after reports of a raid on his home.

While underground, he has been locked in a social media feud with Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the country's military chief and son of President Yoweri Museveni. Kainerugaba has used his platforms to post threats against Wine, even suggesting he was wanted "dead or alive." Despite these public statements, a military spokesperson has denied that the army is actively searching for him.
