Hong Kong media mogul and pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai has been sentenced to prison. On Monday, the city's High Court handed the 78-year-old a 20-year sentence. Following a trial in December, he was found guilty of conspiring with foreign powers to threaten national security and plotting to distribute seditious content. Lai has already been held in custody for over five years while serving a separate term for fraud. This 20-year prison sentence is the harshest penalty ever delivered under Hong Kong's national security law.
