A local community advocate describes the situation as a "classic renoviction scenario" and a "slam dunk victory for the renovictor." The owner claims that the renovations cost much more than he expected due to a fire, and he argues that the current rents are still within an affordable range. Although the borough has issued fines to the owner, one city councillor says the local government has already done everything in its power.
