Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries recently warned that House Democrats are prepared to block Donald Trump from interfering in the upcoming midterm elections. Jeffries claimed that Trump is attempting to "nationalize" the races, a move the Congressman described as an effort to steal the election.

Jeffries noted that Democrats have already taken steps to curb Trump's influence, including blocking his attempts to bring the National Guard under federal control. He also said the party has successfully pushed back against Republican efforts to redraw congressional district boundaries to their advantage.

Beyond policy battles, Jeffries sharpened his tone to condemn Trump for refusing to apologize for a racist post on social media. Joining the criticism, Senator Adam Schiff stated that Trump fully intends to subvert the democratic process and will refuse to accept the results if he loses.
