French police have arrested five people following the kidnapping of a judge and her mother. The two women were held for roughly 30 hours before being discovered with injuries in a garage in southeastern France. According to authorities, the judge's partner, an employee at a cryptocurrency startup, received a demand for a ransom to be paid in digital currency. The women managed to free themselves and were rescued without any money being handed over.
