Spain is moving to ban children under 16 from using social media. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced the plan as part of a broader effort to protect minors and hold tech giants accountable for their platforms. Sánchez described social media as a "failed state" where users ignore laws and authorities tolerate crime.

The Prime Minister also accused Elon Musk of using his platform, X, to spread lies about the Spanish government’s plan to grant legal status to 500,000 undocumented workers and asylum seekers. Sánchez pointed out that Musk is a migrant himself. Musk fired back on X, calling the Prime Minister "Dirty Sánchez" and labeling him a tyrant, a traitor, and a "fascist totalitarian."

The report notes that Greece is also nearing a similar ban for children under 15. Worries about content made by artificial intelligence (AI) have intensified the debate, especially after reports that Musk’s AI tool, Grok, created sexually explicit images of minors without their consent. In response, prosecutors are considering investigations into Grok, TikTok, and Instagram.
