A natural compound found in Aloe vera shows promise in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. Using computer simulations, researchers studied how various Aloe vera components interact with two specific enzymes linked to memory loss.

The study found that a compound called Beta-sitosterol binds strongly to these enzymes, which suggests it could help slow down their harmful activity. Further computer analysis indicated that both Beta-sitosterol and another compound, Succinic acid, are likely safe for human consumption and easily absorbed by the body. The researchers stressed that while these early results are encouraging, they still need to be confirmed through laboratory tests and clinical trials.
