U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has announced that the Pentagon is cutting ties with Harvard University, ending all military training, fellowships, and certificate programs.

Hegseth called the university "woke" and described it as a hub for "Hate America activism." He also claimed that the Ivy League suffers from widespread institutional bias. As a result, the Pentagon plans to review graduate programs for service members at every Ivy League school and other private colleges. Hegseth noted that the military's main goal is "building lethality," or the ability to win in combat, and said the Pentagon will no longer spend money on schools that work against its mission.
