China is planning to send a delegation to India's upcoming artificial intelligence (AI) summit from Feb. 16 to 20, according to reporting from CNBC.
A vice minister from China's Ministry of Science and Technology will head the group. George Chen, a partner at the consulting firm The Asia Group, noted that the Indian embassy in Beijing has already begun processing visas for the trip.
Several Chinese businesses are also expected to take part in the visit. This move is seen as a sign that relations between the two countries are improving. Tensions had been high since a 2020 border fight, which prompted India to ban dozens of Chinese mobile apps.
