The Chinese automaker Chery is introducing a fourth brand to the UK market named Lepas. This move marks a new chapter in the company's fast-paced expansion across Britain, following a strong year in 2025 where it sold 53,600 vehicles through its three existing brands.

Lepas will center its lineup on electric and hybrid SUVs designed for young European families. While the cars will initially be manufactured in China and shipped overseas, Chery is exploring the possibility of building vehicles locally. As part of this push to move production closer to its customers, the company has already held preliminary talks with Jaguar Land Rover regarding potential manufacturing partnerships.
