The Australian government is calling for a review of Roblox's "Parental Guidance" (PG) rating following reports of child grooming and dangerous content on the site. Communications Minister Anika Wells has requested an urgent meeting with the company, pointing to evidence of children encountering sexual imagery, self-harm material, and online predators.

At the same time, the eSafety Commissioner has contacted Roblox to announce a formal test of the platform's safety promises, which include plans to turn off chat features for younger users. In a separate move, Wells has asked the Australian Classification Board to determine if the game's current rating still accurately reflects its content.
