A bombing at a Shia mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan, has killed at least 31 people and left 169 others injured. The blast took place during Friday prayers at the Khadija al-Kubra mosque. Local police are now working to determine if the explosion was the work of a suicide bomber.

In separate statements, Pakistan's president and prime minister both condemned the violence. They called for a full investigation into the incident and ordered immediate medical treatment for the victims. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
