Benoit Bernier and Sonia Lombart, who co-founded the non-profit organization Déclic, hope to welcome a first group of 130 students in 2028. The initiative is backed by a coalition of community, business, and political leaders. These advocates warn that the current youth protection system often leads directly to homelessness. To address this, the campus will focus on trauma-informed teaching and will be located in a new neighborhood featuring affordable housing units.
